Best highlights ever!! – I got the best highlights ever at Alice Hair! The kind I've been looking for years, but have never found-- until now. Very natural, just like the highlights I had as a little girl. Assistant Kat, overseen by Collette, did a fantastic job selecting and applying the colors, the perfect combination of highlights and lowlights. Once Again...Outstanding Service!! – Had my hair cut by Barbara two weeks ago and loved it...decided to go back for highlights with Barbara and my hair is awesome. She and her assistant, Kat, are the greatest...really friendly, really professional and my hair has never looked better...HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place! Everyone is so friendly and the prices are reasonable...owner is great too!!
Awesome Atmosphere and Fantastic Service! – I had the msot amazing time with Alice and her staff. I felt right at home and was treated like a queen. I travel all the way here from Tribeca, and thats saying alot for me! they are simply the best!
New policy - Beware! – I've been going to Alice's for years. I was surprised the other day when I was sick and called to cancel first thing in the morning (I actually left a message on the phone before they even opened) for a 4pm appointment. I was told that Alice "has a new policy" and that if you cancel the day of, your credit card would be charged for HALF of the scheduled services! Since I've been there before, they had my CC#.
great experience :) – Had a great experience...per usual. Was scheduled to get highlights and a cut but was a little unsure if I really needed the highlights. Instead of talking me into getting them Alice spent time to consult with me and we decided I really didn't need them at this appointment--which was money out of her pocket. Best haircut EVER! – I literally had the best haircut that I have ever received from Hazel a few days ago. I have curly hair and it is really hard to find a good stylist, but I have finally found one! Hazel and the entire staff were very friendly and helpful and really listened to what I had to say. I can't wait for my next visit!
Beautiful cut and color – I made a last minute appointment for a haircut after speaking to a friend who just had her hair cut at Alice's. I was a little hesitant, because not all of the reviews on citysearch were positive. Barbara was my stylist and she did an incredible job! She really listened to what I asked for and spent time blowing it out beautifully. I decided to have her fix my color which was getting too brassy, and she did that beautifully as well. Totally average salon, long waits, bait-and-switch pricing and a bad attitude. – I made appointment for three up-do's, which I was told started at $120 (which is also the price listed on their website.) After going to see Emma for a haircut (which was clearly nothing special, although she did do a decent job blow-drying it,) I made the mistake of telling them that I was getting married. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! – I was visiting from nevada and a friend told me about this salon she went to once and it was great. unfortunately that wasn't the same for me. I was scheduled with a lady named barbara. besides the fact that i waited a 40 mins after my scheduled time but she was the worst hair stylist i've ever come incounter with.
