Got a new steel strap band fitted to my watch.The watch isnt expensive but means a lot, the service I got was great, got a text when it was ready, collected it and very pleased. So decided to get another more expensive watch serviced there. Very good service .

My partner was devastated to lose an emerald stone from one of her favourite rings. I took the ring to this jewellery firm to see if they could replace the lost stone. They did a fantastic job in a short space of time and for a reasonable price ! My partner was extremely happy to get her ring back and l totally recommend this company in all respects !

I visited Alexanders to have them fit a new battery to my Rotary wrist watch. On my last visit the cost was £4.95. Today I visited for the same reason and the charge was £9.95! On Amazon a quality long life Duracell battery is £2.95 (with the retailer still making a profit). I therefore paid an excess of £7 for a couple of minutes work !!! Recommended that customers get a clear cost estimate for any and all work undertaken at this establishment. The shop assistant did smile though, hence two stars and not one!

Took my nearly 54 year old 22ct 7mm Wide Wedding Ring which was made privately in 1970 to be resized from size T to X and a half which where the sizes ascertained on the 14th February 2024 Valentines Day in Jewellers. Was told ring would have to be sent to the workshop to see if this could be achieved and the cost. Was told this could be achieved at a cost of £150.00 which my wife agreed to pay. Got a phone call to say ring was ready so on 12th March tried ring on for size which fitted fine, so my wife payed the £150.00. But... read more
