I have visited Thrive in Durham multiple times for my rescue dogs separation anxiety. I have had good experiences with every vet I have worked with except one, Mary *******. I went in for the doctor to assess and possibly up my dogs dosage of Trazodone, as it wasn't as effective as when she first started taking it. When Mary called me she was very rude and told me that my dogs separation anxiety was my fault and she would only prescribe 2 more weeks worth of medication and that needed to fix all of my dogs behavior problems ... read more

I am a veterinarian. My boyfriend took his dog for examination last summer. The veterinarian missed two tumors more than two centimeters in size. Any freshman veterinary student would have noticed them immediately. The dog was euthanized about two weeks later at another hospital when it declined and I was finally able to perform a physical exam myself. This type of mistake is unacceptable. ***************************

During the pandemic, I hoped to obtain a low-stress vaccination for my cat. Since I could not be present for the examination, I gave specific instructions, which I reinforced when I checked in. The instructions were ignored and my cat was irritated and stressed by an unauthorized, intrusive examination. I received a call from someone who was not present and had no knowledge of my pet’s medical history. He did not apologize. Extremely disappointed. We took our goldendoodle into the Thrive in Longmont Colorado for what we believed to be a ear infection. They packed his ear and we bought solution to keep his ear clean. After a couple of weeks when the packing was to dissolve Thrive did call to see his progress at which time there was none. They told us to clean his ears daily at least. 6 weeks later no better. Don't take your pet to Thrive unless you want to get ripped off. All the reviews I have read have been what I have experienced at Thrive. I give them 1 star because that's the lowest I can put.

I have never had a problem with the services offered. It’s a one stop shop and I haven’t been to any that were too unorganized. The problem I have as a whole is that the pricing is inconsistent and hard to find. The clinic on Slaughter and the clinic on Brodie always seem to be trying to upsell on things. I find myself constantly having to ask “Why is this necessary” and “how much does it cost” they kind of just pull me in for my appointment and even if my dog is healthy and normal there is just always some $50 shot that she... read more

This place is very racist! If you notice under all the reviews that are left on-line individuals who are non-Caucasian were treated very poorly. They over price African-Americans and treat their pets very poorly. It sadness me that I have been a loyal customer and have been treated unethical. This place should rehire the entire staff and all the doctors should be removed.

The Burbank Thrive is a dumpster fire of a vet clinic, the front staff are bumbling idiots, the techs are poorly trained and the veterinarians do not provide great care. I think because its supposed to be affordable its also supposed to be crappy. Lesson learned, I will never attempt to utilize the services of this slaughter house!

Hurst Texas location. What an awful experience. I took my new puppy for his second set of shots, first time for me as the breeder got his first set. He had had a little bit of diarrhea during the day, I could not go in with him, I was called and told that he had parvo. He had not acted sick, had been eating and drinking and playing all day. The recommendation was to take him to an emergency vet clinic to the tune of $800 to $1,000 minimum.
