Been coming here since I was little and now still drive 600 miles once a year and eat here every time. It’s changed ownership but the food is still good and the service is great (thanks to Chess!). Will continue eating here for years to come. (But please take the catfish out of the “seafood” gumbo and go back to just shrimp!!!)
Staying down here for two weeks for work went there to grab something to eat food was great the locals was great felt like home

The front door staff was pleasant and courteous. We were seated right away. We left after sitting there for 20 minutes because our table clearly did not come with a server. Not a hello, no drink order, nothing. So disappointing.
Every time we have gone since the new owners took over it's been something. Last time we went the waitress was incredibly rude to one if us about a steak, then she forgot 2 people's food and 3 people got cold food. Talked with the manager and she basically went left on us, yelling at us saying "stop telling me what's wrong and tell me what you want to fix it", and told the waitress that we were cut off, the guys only had 2 beers, and to cash us out, we needed to leave. I ordered a BLT. Who would guess there must have been a half pound of bacon, one small slice of tomato and a small lettuce leaf. Also a dinner plate side of fries. I know they are trying to serve giant portions, but this sandwich was simply an overloaded bacon sandwich, not a BLT. Bacon was burnt.
We stopped at Al-T's for lunch and didn't realize it has new owners until after we had waited 90 minutes for our food, which tasted nasty. I asked the waitress what the problem was, and she said there were new owners and new recipes, which explained the experience. If new owners can't provide the same service and food that patrons except, they should change the name, since it's no longer really Al-T's. I won't be returning, which is sad.
Had a wonderful time today ! The best shrimp , alligator po-boy and fried crawfish tails ! Yum !!!! Great atmosphere and wonderful service !!! Cannot wait to go back and play some shuffleboard !!!
Chicken fried steak, boiled shrimp, fried crawfish tails, alligator PO boys... all are awesome! Great service, great food and drink and can't wait to hang out in the new Creole bar! Shuffleboard, pool, dance floor, can't go wrong!
