AVMI is a state of the art diagnostic imaging center providing multi-slice CT, high field (1.5 Tesla) MRI as well as both diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine. In 1986 AVMI became the first private practice veterinary facility to provide radioactive iodine therapy for the treatment of feline hyperthyroidism. Even today AVMI remains one of a very few facilities that offer radioiodine therapy for canine thyroid carcinoma.

RecommendedDr Broome is wonderful, can't say enough about his professionalism and caring. Staff is excellent as well. Plus, with the cat webcam you can check on your pet in realtime. This is the second I cat that underwent treatment for hyperthyroidism with Dr Broome. My first cat, Ewok, had at least 7 years after the treatment. My second cat just underwent the treatment recently. The Cat Cam was great for easing my nerves as I could see Charlotte was comfortable and well taken care of.
Had my intake meeting with Dr. Broome today. He was wonderful and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. Feeling very comfortable about my Noel being well cared for.
Thank you for curing my cat of hyperthyroidism. <3 He is much healthier following treatment with Dr. Broome!

People and the place are great and the fact you can watch you pet live 12 hours a day via webcam is wonderful
The staff and Doctor were very nice!! I felt very comfortable leaving my baby girl there. She was done quickly and wasn't so out of it when we picked her up. I would definitely reccomend this place to other people!😁
This practice is wonderful. In addition to their technical skills, they are superb communicators. The email, phone calls, and webcam opportunities make all the difference in the world.
