About this business
AVMI is a state of the art diagnostic imaging center providing multi-slice CT, high field (1.5 Tesla) MRI as well as both diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine. In 1986 AVMI became the first private practice veterinary facility to provide radioactive iodine therapy for the treatment of feline hyperthyroidism. Even today AVMI remains one of a very few facilities that offer radioiodine therapy for canine thyroid carcinoma.

We brought our kitty here for hyperthyroidism to receive Radioiodine treatment. I had researched the treatment beforehand and decided it would be the best. I'm very glad for all they were able to do. Peeps was treated with love, tenderness and professionalism. Dr. Broome is a lovely man with a real heart for heart patients.
This is a fantastic clinic all around. Dr. Broome is very through in his work, and the aftercare continues to the 3 months post treatment. The clinic is clean and high tech, and the staff is friendly.
They saved my cat Maia. She had the treatment done. She had to stay for 5 days. Dr Broome was great, he explained everything. You can see your pet on the camera. That was hard for me to watch. Their totally isolated. But Im relieved that shes ok. She had this done 2 yrs ago. I recommend to anyone who has a cat with hyperthyroidism. The medication doesnt work, this does!
