I agree! – The receptionist was rude. I had my first day spa experience there and I believe it could have been better. But the only nice person there was the masseuse. The facialist was very rude and rushed my session.

Snotty staff – I've only been to Acqua once but I am sure I won't return! I was walking by one day and decided to walk in to inquire about the services. It almost seemed like the receptionist was trying NOT to be helpful in answering my questions about the services. I ultimately purhcased a treatment - which was okay - but will not be back because of the snotty staff.

Beware – No sense of good will or good customer service here!!!! Have a gift certificate that I tried to use shortly after it expired. Most companies will honor such a gift certificate - since they received money for the certificate and have not provided any service- That's good will. Not here - I only got the run around and the owner denying she was not the owner. Guess, she wants money for nothing. With that attitude, how can services be any good!!!!

Not Impressed! – Don't count on a 60 minute session, even if the brochure says so. I paid $110 for a facial, and only got 40 minutes. They said the "consultation" and "stuff like that" that was included in the hour. Also, stick with the $12 manicure - the "Acqua manicure" is just extra lotion for double the price. Lastly, the customer service was nothing to speak of. In fact, some of the people were quite rude.

What a Sunday Afternoon!! – Relax Already!! One of the best massage I've ever received, I got at Acqua Beauty Bar Spa. The stuff seemed very friendly and no attitude. Acqua isn't glamorous (like Bxxx or EA), but once the laying on of masseuse's hands begin, I couldn't care less. I've been to other places for massages, but I'll definitely come back to this place. I wish I didn't have to walk out onto Union Square afterwards....

fair – I got a facial at Acqua a few days ago. The experience was pleasant, but there was no quiet waiting room, just straight from the hustle & bustle of the front into the room, so it lacked the calming spa ambiance that I enjoy at other places. Also, the facial was nice, but I felt really greasy afterward instead of feeling 'glowing'. Overall decent, but nothing special.

I had a great facial with Julie. Their entire staff takes skincare seriously, which is very refreshing. I am not a fan of the pampering treatments, I look for facials that make a difference, And this is what I found here.

BLAH AND OVER PRICED – You might as well go to one of the small korean places or a chain. this place did not live up to a SPA experience. For the price it was ridiculous.

Best Massage! – I had a great massage by Maki at Acqua Beauty Bar. Her treatment and techniques were deep, firm and she also tried rhysmic motion and shiatsu pressure to release the tension in my shoulder and upper back. Not only were my tension and stress reduced, also I feel much lighter and energetic!! I want to thank her, and I highly recommend this place.
