so-so spa – Had a mani there recently... nothing special. The place is cramped in the mani/pedi area... a pedicurist had to totally stop working on her client to move out of the way so I could access the manicure tables. I wouldn't go back there... for the price there are tons of better places.
Mediocre at best – This past weekend my friend and I decided we would treat ourselves to massages and salt scrubs at Aqua. When we arrived we also decided to get manicures. The staff was accomodating and were able to start with manicures, which was great, however, the manicurist cut my cuticle in 2 spots. The spa itself, had little to no ambiance and we were rushed from one service to the next. Service Menu of Lies - Stress Inducing Salon!! – I had received a gift card here so I thought I'd try it out. The menu had a long list of treatments to choose from including how long each treatment would be. Since the prices seemed high, I was naive enough to expect a luxurious experience and decided to go with their signature pedicure, which is listed at $40 for 40 min. About as relaxing as a car alarm – Let's start from the top: extraordinarily rude service from a male receptionist who barked orders at me and also refused to look me in the eye while yelling at me to go pick out my nail polish RIGHT NOW (I made the grave error of asking to the lady's room before my appointment began). Great Waxing – I've been going there for about six months to see Lee for my waxing needs and I find that she's great. Compared to all the other places I have been going for brazilians, this place is much more reasonably priced - they offer a "partial brazilian" which is just a little less off than a full brazilian for just over $30. Don't waste your time or money! – Don't waste your money there! Rude staff ,slow and lie about their knowledge about using certain products and services. Great spa – I've actually tried massages in a few different spas in the city, but this place is by far my favorite. I never got anything else donet there, but it definitely has a great atmosphere and very skilled staff.
This Spa is GREAT! – I have been to TONS of spas in every price range - I've had some amazing spa days and some that were a horrific waste of lots of money. Acqua is a great spa!!!! NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON was rude to me! They did NOT push product on me. This place is what it is - a small day spa with pretty great services. I've been here twice . . the facials are pretty good, except for the fact that the facialists are pushing products nonstop, like used car salesman. It's hard to lay back and enjoy the treatment when someone is whispering product names in your ear the whole time. And they really exagerate sking problems to scare you into buying products. The massages and pedicures are very average, and the receptionist is straight up rude. I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon.
