I found two very extremely emancipated dogs on the street and brought them to the humane society to be scanned. They had chips. The owners were contacted and claimed the dogs had only been missing for a few hours. They were skin and bones and when they defected flowers grew because their diets consisted of grass. these dogs were very abused and when the owners came to get them the humane society asked for vet records which they could not provide as they claimed they had a at home vet. I am extremely concerned about the condition of some of the dogs being adopted. one was adopted out as healthy this past week and the adopter had to rush it to the emergency clinic because it was peeing blood. After emergency surgery, it was found the dog had three very large bladder stones. How do you miss that?
wondering where all their money goes, since it is obvious from the animals that are pulled from their by rescue groups that they are not being properly vetted.
They missed a lot of things on a dog we adopted. Low rent operation.
I would not recommend due to the fact that you MURDER adoptable animals such the case of Spacola who was every the bit adoptable - had multiple interested people wanting to adopt. so the dog had allergy problems and a Uti so put it down. I own 3 English Bulldogs and each one has their own problems - so I just put them down because of. People bring their pets to HSTB believing that their pet will find a home. The home they get is a pile in the back of the building like Holocost victims!!! You should all be ashamed!!💔💔💔💔💔
You pretend to be a no kill shelter when what you do is cherry pick dogs that you deem adoptable and have the county euthanize the ones that don't. You are as bad as the county, just trying to make your numbers look good. Shame on you!!!
