Fun for the whole family! The Monterey Bay Aquarium is by far the best aquarium we have evr visited! The exhibits are astonishing. You can literally spend the entire day and not run out of things to see! From sharks, to starfish, to ducks and sea otters, there are so many animals and fish to see! There is always a friendly volunteer around to answer questions and point out interesting things about each exhibit.
One of the best aquariums I've been to This is a great aquarium. It ranks up there with the one in Baltimore and maybe one other. What makes Monterey Bay so great is that they don't just display a variety of sea creatures but they also talk about them, try to teach you more about the habitats, and lucky for the people that live in the area they show the very rich and diverse ecosystem of Monterey Bay. Fantastic Aquarium I was not initially stoked to visit this aquarium, having spent ample time in aquariums on the east coast and figured this place to be a display of the more bland variety. Then they obtained the Great White Shark. My boyfriend needed to see it, and I was convinced to go. Gladly so.
Worldclass Experience The Monterey Bay Aquarium is probably one of the most famous aquariums in the world, and for good reason. It fully lives up to its reputation as a repository for some of the most beautiful and exotic creatues in the ocean. It's understandably a tourist trap, but the grounds are large enough that crowding isn't too much of a problem. Be sure to go see the otters. The only downside is it's cost, but the experience is totally worth it.
World Class This aquarium is certainly the best I've been to, it is truly impressive. There are giant tanks with some amazing fish and sharks. The coolest part are the tunnles that you get to walk through with fish on all sides of you. I really haven't been anywhere else like this. Amazing. Expensive but worth it.
Greatest Aquarium There is no wonder why this is world renown. I've been to this place months apart and they always seem to have something new. The facility is huge with aquatic exhibits that you can play observer to and on occasion (like the stingray exhibit) can even touch the creatures. What an amazing experience! We took our children to the Monterey Bay Aquarium over the summer. We had a great time. The aquarium is right on the water and there are amazing views of the ocean from their deck. The boys loved the "touch pools" and their million gallon aquarium. We will go back again for sure!
Monterey Bay Aquarium I really liked the Monterey Bay Aquarium and have gone back again and still found the place very appealling. The parking garage is a few blocks away from the aquarium though which was probably strategically placed there so visitors are forced to pass by and be enticed by all the little shops that line the streets heading to the aquarium. Other than that this is a great place to take the whole family.
excellent aquarium The Monterey Bay Aquarium is probably the best in the US! It's truly awesome. The exhibits are both informative and beautifully set up. I love watching the sea otter feedings and the jellyfish exhibit is almost like walking through a living art gallery. Fun for kids and adults.
