We happened upon 55 South today - was our first time in Franklin. We loved the food. Service and atmosphere was great as well. We will be returning!

Loved the place, We saw their feature on Diners Drive Inns and Dives and decided to give it a try. It was great. Highly recommend the Garlic crab fries
Great experience!!!! Everything was great, was in town at a Conference saw the place on food network .. drove from Gaylord Opryland .... oysters where awesome and shrimp n Grits top 2 I ever ate (I grew up in low country SC) will deff recommend ... downtown Franklin beautiful !!!
it was at first very busy but luckily the hostess got us a table , staff was awesome food very southern. unique building
This establishment was amazing!! Staff were friendly and helpful!! It was clean and roomy....I do not like visiting a restaurant and feel everyone brush by my table as they walk by.... I was able to sit back and enjoy my meal! My sister and I were from out of town and I came across 55 South on IG. We gave it a try and we are hooked!! I love this place . I stop by ever now and then . The food reminds me of home , I'm from south Mississippi close enough to Louisiana that I grew up eating thIs kind of food. The arrive was good , a bit of a wait but not too bad . The bar area is too crowded , it'sd be nice for a little more space . Other than that I highly recommend 55 South .
Delicious!!! Great service!!!! Oysters are amazing!! Poboy taste like New Orleans!!!!
