It is one of the best zoo, well- managed and well-kept. Of course, its being free means a lot.

I was a public safety officer on night shift there for 2 years, it is the most wnderfull place in Chicago, from staff, to police officers in area to animals One big hi to manager chris for doing a good job!!!
We have been to the zoo many times. Mainly because it is free and we got lucky to get free parking the Sunday we went. We also always go when it is very cold but sunny so we don't have to deal with the crowds. After seeing the birds and buying some decent sunglasses we went searching for a bathroom and by chance went into where the big cats are. Soy de Perú y primera vez que he estado en Lincoln a Park Zoo y me ha gustado mucho casi me congeló de frío a pesar que fui bien abrigada todo fue bonito
The animals were up close and mostly active. Saw a lot. It was very cold so not crowded at all. I remember going as a kid they have really improved the zoo. My family enjoyed it all. Parked nearby not bad. Will go more often.
It was a wonderful place and environment for me and the family. I would definately recommend it to friends and family. The staff were very nice and the place was very clean, even for a zoo.
What a way to spend the 1st day of the New Year. We have never seen the Zoo at Christmastime. We have been going to Lincoln Park Zoo for many years. There is a charge for parking... they have to bring in $ somehow. Very well kept. Enjoyed the light show Weather was perfect.
I just had the most wonderful day. I absolutely loved the zoolights display. I got to see most of the animals. A bit disappointed that I came to see the Red Panda but the exhibit was dark. Not sure why they're kept in a lion house. They love the cold and playing in snow. Donated some money in hopes they will upgrade the Red Panda exhibit soon. They are my favorite next to the Giant Panda. :)
