Zoo lights is a wonderful event. Don't miss it! Thanks to the staff at the members lounge. The kids and adults enjoyed the arts, crafts warm drinks and cookies!
The Zoo is amazing! It's not too large and not too small; you can walk around here in hours but see most of it in just a few hours. It's not insanely huge but it is fascinating. Some zoos you can walk what seems like 10 miles and still not see it all in a day before your feet fall off. The Gorilla building is simply spectacular. You get so close to them. All the workers and volunteers I have talked to have been friendly and amazing. Zoo lights was beautiful! The popcorn is also very good here. Gift shop is huge.
We absolutely loved the Christmas light show ! What a fabulous idea. It was so well put together and free! The zoo is very clean and the animals seem to be well taken care of . I could see that the animals had more roaming area in the summer months than in the winter . Considering how long Chicago winters are it would be a great upgrade to give them some more indoor space . What a great area to bring children .

It was magical. I had such a wonderful time. Was asked to make a donation and I thought that since I am paying $20.00 for parking it really is not free and I did make a donation.
