Super busy, but it was the first nice weekend of the year. Very clean and well kept.
This zoo has always been amazing too me. Especially on a beautiful day. My main concern about the animals... they kept pacing, sitting, and laying in front of the doors to go back a soon as they were let out. It was saddening to see the animals that way; having been in captivity for so long. That all they know is the inside of there cages.
The zoo was beautiful and the animals were adorbs like every zoo. There were maps posted but none being handed out so we had to keep finding a board and back tracking. A lot of the animals were hiding and it was quite crowded. No food places were open. Still so beautiful.
Pretty nice place... better to be there early, because after 2 pm it gets very crowded
Lyndsay Larson and I had an excellent time at the zoo. It was a beautiful 68 degree day in the Chi, and the animals were out. However, a few of them were just a little sleepy and taking naps. It was tough to navigate at first because there is a shortage of zoo maps. Also, where are the penguins? The star of the zoo was definitely the polar bear. He was awfully playful. I took two of my young grandsons to enjoy a beautiful day at the zoo them really enjoyed themselves it was a great day.
Take the test me and enjoy a Chicago treasure. My boys and I had a great time!
You get what you pay for and in this case you'll see why the zoo is free.
I was amazed to find out this zoo was free to enter . It's so awesome to have something like this in the city. They do except donations . There's a really neat kids play area ! This zoo was way bigger than I expected but not to big which is awesome ! People were friendly and it looked well taken care of! I was really impressed with this zoo!
