1909 Temecula is a tribute to the Machado building, the location where the restaurant and bar now lives. Well before the 1909 burger was created, this structure has been home to a trading post, livery, auto shop and most notably a bar. During the 70's, the Longbranch Saloon was known as the roughest place in town to get a drink. Locals often stop in and tell stories of brawls and shootings. Service terrible!! No refills given to our party of 3 the entire time,fish taco was OK..blue corndgs were pretty bad too, baking powder taste!! The pretzel was yummy though!!
Always a great experience! Love the appetizers must get the pretzel and empanadas
We’ve been at 1909 a few times when visiting Temecula and never been disappointed. Great barmen, service and food. This time we went for drinks and ordered shrimp and chorizo appetizer it was delicious. Drinks are good. We don’t remember the first barman’s name but him and Josh are great. (Josh: my husband meant he likes big cubed ice, but had nothing to do with the ice in your drinks, we apologize)

We stopped in just to have a beer, the bartenders were friendly and helpful, very patient with us. Atmosphere was awesome. Will return when we come back to California.
A busy and cold Saturday night but our party of 4 got seated quickly, outside by a heat lamp. Our server was great and so was everyone else that delivered food and drinks. We enjoyed the potatoe chips more than the bacon fries. My husband got the chili which he thought was very good. But they didn’t bring his corn bread till after he was done with the chili.
