1909 Temecula is a tribute to the Machado building, the location where the restaurant and bar now lives. Well before the 1909 burger was created, this structure has been home to a trading post, livery, auto shop and most notably a bar. During the 70's, the Longbranch Saloon was known as the roughest place in town to get a drink. Locals often stop in and tell stories of brawls and shootings. Excellent signature Bloody Mary (1909) and location in town.
As much as I love the atmosphere, 1909 has always been 2nd choice for me, but I thought I’d give it another shot because the location was perfectly located on the Christmas parade route. I made reservations 2 weeks ago to be sure we get a spot. because that event is always a circus! the manager called me back to confirm my spot. when I called back to add a seat the day before, they couldn’t find my name and said I didn’t have a reservation and their was no more seating. Had a wonderful visit with my lady friends. Great service! Great food! Great day! Will be back. Shrimp and crab empanadas delish!
Good food, great service & atmosphere too! Loved the outdoor dining & Smokey fries!
