1909 Temecula is a tribute to the Machado building, the location where the restaurant and bar now lives. Well before the 1909 burger was created, this structure has been home to a trading post, livery, auto shop and most notably a bar. During the 70's, the Longbranch Saloon was known as the roughest place in town to get a drink. Locals often stop in and tell stories of brawls and shootings. Bartender SEAN was tremendous. A real pro. Food was great and reasonably priced.
The shrimp and crab empanadas were amazing! I love their Bloody Mary’s and the carnitas chilaquiles. My husband had the bison burger and a pear cider. Everything excellent. Lauren our server was great too. We will definitely be making this our go to brunch place �

Treated by some friends after we shot some senior pics downtown. Friend says this place, 1909, is known for its bar, but neither of us drink so we don’t know. “Do you like hamburgers?” asked my friend. “It’s hard to mess up a burger,” I said. “Well, you might rethink your choices.
