The "13 Coins" name is of Peruvian origin. The story goes that a poor young man loved and wished to marry a wealthy girl. Her father asked what he had to offer for his daughter's hand in marriage. The young man reached into his pocket. He had only 13 coins, but assured the father he could pledge undying love, care and concern. The father was so touched, he gave his daughter's hand and "13 Coins" has come to symbolize unyielding love, care and concern.

Had a girl cousin bonding night and our server Todd was amazing! The food and dessert were fantastic. The only complaint I have is the restaurant was uncomfortably warm.
Food is mediocre no flavor but waitress was very kind.
Great food, atmosphere, and staff. My "go to" place in Seattle.
I had to remind our server we would like an accoutrement tray and some bread 3 times. We were the only people there and it felt like we were at the back table, forgotten. Since the new owners have bought this restaurant chain it really has gone downhill. I will miss the old 13 Coins in all of its prior glory before this.

This is an all time family favorite! It's a treat to go with grandkids and sit at the counter, for a quiet dinner for two, or the whole family (15 of us!) for a dinner after a show. Food is great, service is wonderful.
Service was bad. Guy who sat us down took my drink away and wouldn't even let me drink the small amount that was left. Server wasn't that rude, just didn't care and had very little patience with anything. Seemed like I was a burden just being there. Good was alright. Nothing special. Hope they get an attitude check, though.
Awesome as Usual – Still love the place after 30 years. Like a favorite blanket. Keep up the great work.
