The "13 Coins" name is of Peruvian origin. The story goes that a poor young man loved and wished to marry a wealthy girl. Her father asked what he had to offer for his daughter's hand in marriage. The young man reached into his pocket. He had only 13 coins, but assured the father he could pledge undying love, care and concern. The father was so touched, he gave his daughter's hand and "13 Coins" has come to symbolize unyielding love, care and concern.

Well Im not surprised to see so many bad reviews here. Came on the page to see when this location is closing. Good riddance! A once iconic beloved and much needed restaurant that's seen years of celebrities ( I've taken lots of now famous musicians there ) has turnedc into a 24 Hour Danny's with fancy napkins and better lighting. You the management who stupidly hired your " friends " who are all cocaine addicts, really let Seattle down. I shudder to think where the staff will get jobs....God help those restaurants!
Really expensive for an upgraded Denny's. Two lower priced diners and two drinks plus tip came to $90. No thanks. Food tasted good, plating was lack luster. Server was nice, but hounded us to hurry up and order, and reached his arm right in front of my face to grab items off the table. Ambiance was noisy, heard two ladies in the booth behind me trash talking someone, cook behind the counter was loudly talking to a server for about 20 minutes. I'm telling you this 13 Coins should be know as the "Gold Coin" of all Seattle area restaurants. Why you say, awesome food & staff. So friendly you want to spend all night and the food, succulent, mouth watering that keeps you drooling for the next bite. Ribeye to perfection. This is my spot but you may come. Now is a good time.
The food was great, the staff exceptional! A most pleasurable experience.
Love 13 coins!! Every time i'm in Seattle, I try to stop by!! Never disappointed! Always stunned and impressed by the exceptional service!!!
Quick service and the bartender made a wonderful margarita.
