Went to see Dr. Marks for ruptured ACL. Had ACL reconstruction on my left knee done in January 2010. Thanks to Dr. Marks I returned to playing soccer roughly 6 months after surgery. I have been playing competitive soccer ever since, no brace necessary. Dr. Marks has a great sense of humor and made every appointment enjoyable and above all knowledgable. I really am greatful I went to see Dr. Marks. Thank you for everything Dr. Marks!
Dr Marks reconstructed my ACL in November 2012. He is a skilled and dedicated surgeon and 1 year on I'm back to leading a normal life with a perfect knee. My surgery and subsequent rehab went off perfectly.
Dr. Marks is a truly gifted surgeon. I will be forever grateful for miracle repair he did on my mangled Rt. knee a yr ago. I had complete tears of both my MCL & ACL & tears to my anterior & lateral meniscus from a ski injury in Dec. 2010. Dr. Marks performed surgery on my rotator cuff in June 2011; the repair was very extensive due to the nature of the injury. Dr. Marks pre and post op skills where excellent !!!! Thanks Dr. Marks for giving back my quality of life ? Now back to the all my usual sport activities.
Torn ACL and meniscus. Surgery in April 2010. Dr. Marks was great at explaining the injuries and describing the solution and recovery. Great follow up as well. With physio the recovery was quick. I was able to return to skiing and hockey the following winter Today the knee is as good as new, with no noticeable difference between the two knees, no matter what the activity.
If you have been referred to Paul Marks by an insurance company do yourself a favor and request another Doctor. Based on my experience, his reports are in favor of the insurance company (the people paying him to do the assessment) regardless of how overwhelming the evidence or sincere the pain. He would not stop poking and prodding even after I told him was painful and uncomfortable to which replied in a rude tone "your everything hurts" and "what doesn't hurt" and other like comments. I first saw Dr. Marks after tearing my ACL skiing and then finished it off kickboxing. I saw him in June 2010 and I was pleasantly surprised at what a down to earth guy he was. No ego, just knowledgeable, friendly and confident. I had surgery to repair the ACL in August 2010. I wasn't nervous or worried because he made me feel like everything was going to be fine. Dr. Marks was very good at explaining my injury to me and explaining how he was going to try to repair my injury as his first priority or to remove tissue as a last resort. He made me feel very comfortable with the decision to proceed with surgery and the post surgical follow up was very good. I would recommend Dr. Marks without any hesitation.
I've had both my ACLs reconstructed by Dr. Marks and I am very grateful for the work he did. I am back to playing soccer and my knees feel FANTASTIC. I would recommend Dr. Marks in a heart beat. I have nothing but love and respect for this man. May God Bless him and his healing hands for as long as he lives.
