Dr. Paul Marks is extremely talented and knowledgeable doctor, who has successfully reconstructed my ACL and made it possible for me to get my life back. The surgery was necessary for me due to the instability in the knee after skiing accident , which led to a number of repeated injuries including meniscus tears. My job requires me to be in a good physical condition, which would not be possible without successful ACL reconstruction. I have been meaning to provide a comment on here about Dr. Marks for a while since he performed ACL surgery (with no meniscus repair) on me in Sept 2011. I had reservations before going into surgery and I initially tried to treat my injury conservatively (e.g. through physio) for years. It has been 5 years since Dr. Marks reconstructed my ACL, PCL and LCL. I went through two surgeries in 3 months and I was non weight bearing for 6 months. Physiotherapy was intense for the following year. I have not had any swelling, soreness or pain at all from my knee since the surgery. I have my active lifestyle back. Dr. Paul Marks and his staff was a pleasure to deal with. He restored my hope for an active future and his skilled abilities provided me with one.
Its going to be 2 years this week that Dr Marks repaired my ACL in my left knee, it was a long haul mentally and physically to get back to 100% but I did with countless hours at the gym getting my leg stronger and better than it was before my surgery. It's been over five years (nearly ten!) since Dr. Marks performed my ACL reconstructive surgery and at the time I was so pleased with the level of care and now am so grateful to be able to run, jump, twist and turn with no limitations. Dr. Marks held my hand and spoke to me as the anesthesiologist did his work, to put me at ease. Dr Marks helped me to walk again! I was severely injured in a car accident when I was 15. I broke my femur in two places and tore my PCL. I could not walk without my knee giving out and falling over. Since my surgery which was about 6 years ago I have had no issues with my knee. He is a fantastic surgeon and his assistant Lisa was always a pleasure to deal with. Dr. Marks performed ACL reconstruction surgery on my left knee in July of 2013. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Marks. He is clearly a gifted and brilliant surgeon, very personable, very caring, very funny and very cool. All that he asked of me was to do my rehabilitation properly and consistently and not to return to skating or risky activities like outdoor cycling for a full six months.
