This is the worse doctor I have ever met, he spends more time hitting on his doctor assistant than he does listening about my problem. I left a comment 6 months ago and he had it erased along with another comment someone else left about 3 months ago and another person who left one 2 months and he replaced them all with what I think are fake comments writ ten by him. Just a warning to everyone save your time he just wants to collect ohip money by seeing many patients.
The absolute best - you cannot go wrong with Dr. Paul Marks!! His assistant Lisa is a joy to deal with and is extremely accommodating. The entire staff at Sunnybrook is top notch and I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Paul Marks and the entire staff!! To top it all off, the CEO (Andy Smith) was kind enough to see me right after my last operation (of 2) repairing both of my shoulders. WOW! Thank you Dr. Paul Marks and Lisa Keable :) My 16 year old son was definitely in the best hands possible with Dr. Paul Marks. My son had a severe tear in his ACL, a tear in lateral miniscus, a sprained MCL and a deep bone bruise. Dr. Marks and his staff at Sunnybrook are the absolute best. Prior to seeing Dr. Paul Marks, I had two unsuccessful ACL surgeries performed by two other surgeons at a different hospital. The first ACL reconstruction involved using the patellar tendon from the same knee. The revision ACL surgery involved taking the patellar tendon from the opposite knee, to donate to the injured knee, which led to issues in what was previously my perfectly good knee. This guy is a miracle worker! He did my left shoulder 4 years ago, a complete rotator cuff tear and did an outstanding job considering I waited 3 years to have surgery. Two years later I fell down the stairs and tore my other rotator cuff even worse than the left. He had me on the operating table within six months! My shoulder is back to 100%! This guy is a magician. I had a full ACL rupture in my right knee. I was lucky as Dr. Marks didn't have that big of a waiting list. We scheduled a surgery one month after having a great consultation - he's very laid back, makes jokes and just has an aura of confidence to him. I had an allograft ACL transplant on my left knee done by Dr. Marks in Nov. 2018. Quick and disciplined recovery process and 5 months later I'm back on the tennis court - at 57! I had a complex ACL repair done by Dr. Marks. He was extremely informative, clearly explained all the possible outcomes, was very thorough and answered all my questions. The surgery went very well with fantastic results. Due to my age and medical condition, Dr. Marks monitored my post-op progress very closely. He was always encouraging, made me feel at ease, and adapted post op treatment to maximize success. I am now able to get back to many activities i had ut on hold due to my injury.
I consider myself extremely fortunate to had Dr. Paul Marks performing a surgery for a torn ACL and damaged meniscus on two different occasions: in 2012 and more recently in January of 2018.
