I can remember when this was first built in the late 1970s to the early 1980s it was called the Mercury Motel or hotel back then I'm sure, also beneath the carpark was a tip we as children used to find those bottles with a marble in it and all sorts of pottery must of been some sort of land fill before building on it, there wasn't anything there just fields and rubbish, amazing how fast 40 years have gone so quickly,
I Parking has become more difficult because the hotel as I understand it , had to put up barriers because of an attempt of travellers wanting to take over the car park.
