My husband had the worst stay at Yale last week and just had his heart transplant done @ Yale 3 months ago. The staff on the 5th floor section 5-2 went out of there way to make his stay horrific. Not a place you want your loved ones to be when they are in pain and in need of assistance by ones who really DO NOT CARE! Shame on those girls and the Supervisor in charge CJ. We will be filing a formal complaint.

Wonderful staff. My boyfriend was transferred to Yale because I refused to let him be transferred to Hartford hospital. The nurses on third shift tonight were very caring, prompt, and understanding. Katie (RN) was so supportive to the fact my boyfriend was in some serious pain. Treated him accordingly. Thankyou to all of the third shift staff for your prompt care. We greatly appreciate y’all.
Donated the right lobe of my liver on 10/15 to one of my best friends. Immediately following surgery, they kept me in the ICU for 24-Hour observation. I was then moved to the LiverWard. My nurse coordinator, social worker, surgeons, day and night nurses, and PCAs were absolutely wonderful in making sure I was tended to and comfortable. Not once did I feel as though I was a burden to them. Top notch. Thank you!
Complete incompetence by the stroke team at Yale. My Mother has been waiting to be moved to Gaylord for 4 days and we found out she was scheduled to be moved today but they didn’t perform a basic test. What the heck have you been doing the last four days?!?! Now they want her to wait two more days!!!! Each day that passes diminishes chances for improvement. No urgency from the stroke coordinator. #woulditbethesameforyourmother
Yale could improve by actually caring about the people it treats. I mean actually care about the person and the life they had before being sick. Staff at this hospital are arrogant and self serving.

clean everything daily! teach employees to have respect! make the employees do some work! (I was standing in the hall with patient relations person while a patient was screaming for help, post surgery, 3 nurses were huddled around a phone talking while patient was screaming) My mother had surgery, no shower or teeth brushing for 3 days... doctor instructed nurses to give her a shower & wash her hair with baby shampoo only, they didn't.
