I bought a new pixel XL phone from them and that it had a one year warranty from Google. Having the phone just nearly six months I did the recommended update after I did that the phone turned off and will not turn back on again I contacted Woot and they said it was under a one-year warranty by Google. Woot said that they were an authorized reseller for Google. Upon calling Google on several phone calls I found out that woot is not a authorized reseller for them. Recently, I purchased a "new" Whirlpool 70-pint dehumidifier through Woot.com for $134.99 + tax, which normally cost $180+. From order to delivery, the item was received in 2 weeks. Upon receiving the item, the box is worn and damaged, and the package tape had 2-3 layers, indicating "repackaged." As I opened the box, the dehumidifier unit was not protected by any Styrofoam or plastic bag, and one can clearly see the scratches on the unit. I supposedly won the opportunity to purchase an item on their mobile app and due to a malfunction on their app I was unable to purchase it. I provided screenshots with the error. When I contacted customer service, all I got was a bunch of template email responses that did nothing to address my situation or resolve my problem. Ultimately, I requested to cancel my account. It's amazing that a company would be willing to lose a customer who had been with them for many years over $10.

It's incredibly shady to not offer any viable customer support on secondhand electronics. I'm honestly shocked they operate this way, but I guess the reputation precedes them. I've been in an elongated battle about what information of mine they have from an unordered package that was shipped to me, and while I have been unusually persistent, I have been as polite and understanding as possible given that I've received several clearly canned, irrelevant responses. I ordered a refurbished computer from Woot.com, less that 2 years later it had stopped working and is unfixable due to defective parts being used on it. Basically it was built to last long enough until it was out of warranty, then stop working. Now I'm out 800+ dollars. Don't let this company rip you off.

My husband received a hoodie from my sister for Christmas this past year. Nothing wrong with it, it just didn't fit his style and he said he would never wear it. I was going to return it because I had all the original packaging, tags AND receipt. I placed an order on Dec. 13. The item said "in stock" and "ships within 2 days" when I placed it. As soon as I got the email confirmation it said estimated arrival date was January 3. Ummmm, it doesn't take 3 weeks to ship from them to Tennessee. This was a Christmas gift for friends so that would not work. I did manage to talk to customer service but they are in India so were useless just telling me it would be to me "by" Jan. 3 which means it could be sooner. Ordered a computer, its been 7 days without any updates on delivery, it still hasn't shipped. So I call customer service. They explain the item is still processing. I say that it is a preassembled computer, my CC was charged 6 days ago. I told him this was unacceptable and required resolution. I was upset and demanded to speak to a supervisor. They then hung up.

I would truly recommend staying away from Woot. So far 2 out of the 3 items expensive I have ordered have been damaged when they arrived. Also, I have been unable to reach out to them by phone. They have a feature where they ask you to type in your number so they can call you, but when I type my number in it says my number is blocked. After some research I found their corporate number, but after calling several times, all I managed to get is a message saying their voicemail is full.
