We visited Woods in Dorchester High street in 2023. We were looked after by all the staff and individually by Vicky who like all the staff there were very professional and friendly and extremely helpful. We purchased a Sofa which wasn't cheap but in their sale we got a good deal on the main price and ordered the colour we wanted. Be careful when ordering. Website looks like small family business but I ordered 4 dining chairs and I realised when arrived that they are „made in china”. After receiving, I found them so much cheaper in Argos. 670£ for chairs from China is a bit pricey 😝
I bought chairs from this brand, drawn by their image as a family-run company with tradition. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. When I received the chairs, I noticed “Made in China” stickers on the bottom, which doesn’t match the brand’s messaging at all. Another disappointment was discovering that the exact same model of chairs is available at Argon for a significantly lower price. I feel misled — both about the origin of the product and its actual value.
We are both thrilled with the larder unit. Excellent service from start to finish. A big thanks to John and George very professional.
I ordered four dining chairs for delivery to the west coast of Scotland, so about as far away from Woods as you can get. To my amazement they arrived next day and were in perfect condition. I had already been let down by two big-name retailers, one who left me waiting weeks for items only to tell me they couldn't supply them, and another who delivered chairs in shocking condition covered in scratches and tears.
