Terrible management, older staff members are abusive
Woodlands provided excellent care to a family friend for many years. The staff we met were extremely kind and seemed to look after all the residents with great diligence and compassion.
I visited my sister at Woodlands House Care and Nursing Home today. We drove up from the south coast . From the moment we arrived until we left the staff were amazing. They were friendly caring and professional. They know the residents well and really engage with them and are passionate about caring for all of them. If your loved one has dementia, I really would NOT recommend this place because not one member of staff are trained on how to deal with the challenging behaviour this condition can bring - staff mentioned this on more than one occasion! I was very disappointed with the care my dad received in the 5 months he was there. Prior to him moving in, we told them about his condition and his challenging behaviour and we were assured this would be fine but clearly this was not the case.
