I’ve banked at Woodforest for 15 yrs. started an account because of the “free 50 and over”. Never had a problem -

They changed the date of a return transaction at Walmart. I returned items on 2/26/22. As of 2/26/22 the return amount was reflected in my available balance. This morning 2/27/22 I wake up to overdraft fees. They changed the return deposit to 2/27/22 so everything I spent after the return was made bounced. It should not have been posted to available balance if it wasn’t available. I have had an account in good tamarind with them since 2017. I have instant access to deposits. Worst bank ever! Put my check on hold for no reason and lied to me about why it was on hold. Spoke with the customer service manager and was told my account has been in good standing since it was opened and there’s no reason my funds were not released. Hate this place. Closing account immediately

My wife and I opened a checking account with woodforest in delmont PA back in the fall of 2021 .we ordered our checks through them and after we waited the six days for them we told them we didn't receive our checks. They said they forgot to order them and that they would order them right away. Well it is now almost spring of 2022 and still no checks

Let me start off by saying I have been banking here 5 years with my business and never had any fraudulent dealing I buy houses and land and sell them i have had them freeze my account after I have put 20k in and spent down to 5 and in the middle of my job my cards stop working, they have called me out the blue and said bring all your w2 forms and receipts they wanted to do a audit on my company twice so I did and they found nothing fraudulent, I have documentation saying the checks my costumers payed me was fraud and I go ba... read more

Horrible customer service. When you try to close an account they want to "hold" your funds and mail you a cashiers check instead of giving you the money on the spot. If you withdraw any cash, they want you to provide them receipts and tell them what you are spending your money on. I feel bad for the actual branch because the "business office" in the back ties their hands. I suggest you go to ANY other bank. It literally can't get any worse that what Woodforest is.

I think this bank is the worst. how can they keep saying that according to their records, it's okay for Enterprise car rentals to continue to charge my account even when I send them the letter from enterprise rentals stating I did not have the car. I don't know what to do. I have been robbed of $344.48 I'm 72 years old.

This is honestly the most consistently awful bank I have ever encountered. They have held CASH deposits and refused to allow me to access my CASH funds due to a mistake on THEIR part. I have opened multiple accounts and EVERY time there was an issue that was due to an employee error. I even went so far as to purposefully have an employee check and double check BEFORE I left because I am so tired of having to go back to this god forsaken bank to fix another error on the part of the bank.
