I kept getting mobile deposits declined so I called customer service. They switched me to four representatives trying to find a reason for my deposits getting declined. Finally I got a representative that kept putting me on and off hold for twenty minutes saying there looking for the reason. Finally they came back saying poor resolution. The worst bank on the planet. an act of racism was conducted against me in Walmart on camera for almost 45 minutes. Because I complained about the way I was being treated after over 17 years with this bank i was given all my cash in my account and told they were closing it. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED UNTIL new employees were hired with a different skin color than mine. Terrible bank that makes everything difficult. Never use. They have frozen my account when I traveled to Philippines. Stranding me in a Typhoon. After I approved intl charges. Now they are preventing me from using my money in a business transaction in Philippines. They say due to scammers. Since I've had no problems elsewhere-seems like their policies change for ******. Woodforest is the scammer not my family!

Vey unsatisfied my cashier check was lost I went in the next day to put a stop payment on it and have one reissued they told me there was nothing I could do for 90 I explained that was the money to pay the taxes on my house and they still said I had to wait 90 days I am on my way to close my account with this bank corporate office was no help. I have been with this bank for over 5 years and it’s been a headache trying to get some help

I have banked with Woodforest for close to 16 years. Used to be a really good bank. Service is non existent now. When you call customer service in Houston, you reach India. They are rude and incompetent. If I need to dispute something on my credit card, since I moved none of the local Walmarts have a branch. I have to drive an hour each way for the nearest branch. Ive had an account since Decemeber 2020. I recently purchased a money order at walmart right across from Woodforest and than went over to deposit my money order into my account. Im unable to set up my other account to this account and this is my only way to access my money. I deposited this money order in my woodforest account and was told i would have 48 hours wait time to process and than i would have access to my funds. They have the absolute worst customer service ever. Customer advocacy is a complete joke and no matter how big or small your issue is, they WILL NOT help you. If you have any other options do not use this bank.

Woodforest is constantly slow on taking money out of your account, sometimes even weeks late that leads to account balances being misleading when you use online banking. Because of them I’ve racked up hundreds of dollars in negative balances during the pandemic because they like to charge a $32 fee every single time something is withdrawn, even if just a couple dollars.
