Great people. Greg and Sonja were wonderful and fun. And the food. ..absolutely the best oysters and seafood!!! Thanks for making our visits (twice in 2 days!) Memorable!!!!!
This place has the best oysters on the half shell and my most recent visit featured a local catch from Dauphin Island. The oysters which were full of chucks of meat, clean, mild tasting , just perfect !!

I have been a devoted customer for 40 years or better. When you can't get a good-sized oyster anywhere else Wintzell's will have them and they'll be great.

The food was excellent but our waitress was very very rude. She kept checking on our table and would mutter things under her breath about the amount that I was eating. I had just under went a medical procedure and had to fast the night before. The test took extra long and we came in to the restaurant in the late afternoon. I went here Friday and ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp. I liked the ambiance. I dined alone so I chose to eat outside; wonderful atmosphere!

My first time eating at this location . The waitress was very nice. I love seafood so i ordered a catfish plate. My husband ordered a oyster poboy wit onion rings and my daughter a shirmp plate. The onion rings was fried to hard. French fries was so salty it felt like my mouth was burning. The shrimp plate only came with 6 large shirmp ,fries & 2 hushpuppies for $11. Shrimp poboy had 6 small oysters on it and my catfish plate was Swai, not catfish . That’s a big difference . Swai is not catfish . I feel like they should tell... read more
