It's my favorite place to be great food great ambiance the people that work there are the best I look forward to seeing them every time which is nearly every weekend! I sit in the Bar Your bartender Ben is awesomeness!!!!!!! Best brunch!
It was our 1st time hanging out in Mobile. We spent the day at Dauphin Island and ended up here. I'm not a seafood person but the crab cakes were great. My family are seafood people and they loved it. Our waiter was a dark headed guy with a fabulous beard. He was REAL good looking with a wonderful personality. Wintzell's has been a Mobile icon for as long as I can remember. It is the place for oysters no matter how you like them prepared. and, the fish and shrimp are also gret. Never been disappointed at any of their locations. But for atmosphere nothing beats the original location on Dauphin Street.
Had the shrimp and grits and they were absolutely the best I've had. Service was great even with a bus full of football fans that came rolling in
Had the Hangover Burger today and it was freaking awesome! Never had a burger with an egg on it before but it was great. Should definitely check them out especially on Saturday and Sunday's during the Bottomless Mimosas during brunch hours.
Clean, and happy environment. Our waitress was extremely friendly. We tried the oyster sampler platter, and it was great. We asked for extra garlic and less cheese and they accommodated with no problem. Oysters are shucked on the spot. Very fresh and large oysters. My wife is very choosy about her seafood. She loved it. Parking is easy, and the area feels safe. Had a nice walk after dinner.
We had an excellent dining experience and will definitely visit again at our next trip to Mobile Al.
We stopped here on our drive down to Rosemary Beach, FL. The valet at our hotel recommended it. Our family loved everything we ordered and our 9,7 and 6 year old who are hard to please, loved it as well. We started off with the crab claw basket which was amazing! My husband ordered the seafood pasta, amazing! And I ordered the catch of the day, amazing! We will be stopping back by on our way home to Texas next week. Our server was so polite and kind we loved her too!
