Always fun and nice that it is in an "original" part of town. Really authentic, warm and friendly. The wait staff were friendly, quick and efficient. Food was very good. Wish they had a TASTING plate of a little of everything so we might find other things we liked. Not everyone eats collard greens but I wouldn't like a whole plate full to try it. Wish also there were stores, music bars or shopping. Walked around but just accosted by panhandlers. We left. Too bad.
It was Amazing. Ate there 12/7/17-12/8/17.. Such a great experience. And both nights, we were taken care of by the manager one night, and a wonderful young man named James the next. I highly recommend this place for great food and wonderful service...
I was there 40+ years ago on several occasions. Terrific food then and their present menu looks similar. I was a government lawyer at the time and ate there on every occasion I could while I was in Mobile on my $16.00 per diem, which included the hotel. Very similar to Acme's in New Orleans.
The food was awesome and our waitress was great! The raw oysters were very fresh and were huge! We also ordered the oyster sampler platter and couldn’t decide which was our favorite since they were all so good! We also shared a Shrimp and Grits and it was delicious, so big and rich the two of us had trouble finishing it.
Been going there since the early sixties. Great place with lots of memories for me.
I had the coastal cobb salad and it was delicious! Fresh fish and shrimp on top of a yummy and super fresh salad! House made dressing too! The service was awesome also!
Love the INCREDIBLE service.. the Char Grilled oysters are INCREDIBLE
My favorite restaurant in Mobile. Try the Redfish Bienville.
I enjoy the food but was disappointed for the second time in up charging of the final bill. This restaurant was in Fultondale Alabama
