Don't trust GPS we attempted to "drive" to Windmill Hill down a dirt track. We got almost there and had to reverse back a good mile and a half due to possible of getting boged. No chance in turning around until we were almost out. I can certainly say our marriage is strong for us to get out of that with our killing each other...what a team
I found it easy to lose track of the outer ditch whilst walking the area itself, overhead photo's show it up very nicely on the other hand. The round barrows though remain very obvious making for an impressive grave site.
A long trek to reach but worth seeing. Not quite having the same power as the other nearby sites but the surrounding landscape looks stunning from this spot.
