After my car was with VW for over 1 week for them to turn round and quote me a small fortune. Ian took the car stripped, diagnosed correctly & fixed the car in a couple of days. Explained & showed me the part that failed when I went to pick it up again. Wish I knew about him sooner, hope to not need his services again but will be my first place to call in the future. Highly recommend him.
Ian reconditioned the gearbox on my Renault trafic and installed a new clutch. He informed me of any potential additional costs which are likely when undertaking this sort of work so there were no surprises. Fortunately there everything ran smoothly and I was only charged the lowest amount quoted. Very honest, reliable and professional service. Highly recommended.

Super friendly guy and extremely knowledgeable. I was expecting to wait afew days but he was kind enough to do it there and then ! (Gearbox was removed prior) Will be returning soon for Ian to put it back together.
We had an ongoing problem with our VW DSG gearbox that involved fault codes and going into limp mode intermittently. Other garages didn’t seem able to diagnose/rectify for some reason and after getting in contact with Wiltshire Transmissions and speaking to Ian, the fault was diagnosed quickly. The fault turned out to be the mechatronic unit, which was repaired at a very competitive price. Would definitely recommend Wiltshire Transmission’s, Ian was very helpful and communication was good.
