Placed an order online, got confirmation. A week later tracking info was still not available. I call to find out where my order is. Item is no longer available. No one was going to contact me to let me know and no one seemed surprised or cared at all that this happened. Shop local.

I took my time to apply in person for a part time position. ***** called me back within a second and while she was helping a customer off an on. She was so confusing and frustrating and very unprofessional the way she spoke with me. She kept saying my availability is only 3-9:30 and 4-10 and you have 3-8. I said I can do 3-9:30 or 4-10. And she said but you put 3-8. And then she kept arguing with me that my application is not possible. I put my availability 5 times a week at the time of 3-8. Awful customer service they price matched on the merchant value but they do not agree to refund on the sales tax charged extra against the price difference. Told me a supervisor would call me back but never happened!

I ordered an expensive bed from West Elm 2 years ago. Last week while sleeping the bed collapsed, the middle support bar snapped in half nearly killing my cat. The next mornings I called customer service and spoke to a nice man. Who set up an appoitnment for someone to bring the correct part and fix it for me 5 days later. I confirmed making sure it was the correct part with him numerous times. Then even called back the day before delivery to re-confirm. Sure enough, this morning they showed up with the wrong part. Don't do it! Absolutely horrendous experience with Pottery Barn customer service. Made a significant furniture order from the store and was told we wouldn't be charged until the items shipped. Seeing as there was a custom piece in the order it could take 6-8 weeks before it shipped. Ok, that is reasonable and we were in no hurry. Well, it turns out "shipped" for Pottery Barn means shipped to a holding cell somewhere, not shipped to your home. West Elm completely misleads customers by advertising the mass availability of its products and the "stores" in which they're sold. In reality, West Elm's brick and mortar shops, like the one in Emeryville, are nothing but "showrooms" where merchandise is displayed, but not allowed to be sold. How disappointing to want to buy a product directly in front of you, only to be barred from doing so. I ordered a couch from West Elm in November of 2017. I finally received the couch in June of 2018. Yes you are reading that correctly. Although I inquired about the status... I was told that they couldn’t “locate” the builder and there was nothing to be done. I got the couch in June of 2018. It came damaged and I returned the couch 2 weeks later.
