I recently had surgery, Dr. Johnston made it very comfortable for me to ask questions before the surgery took place. I'm certain that I would've been more nervous before the procedure if it hadn't been for Dr. Johnston calm and patient demeanor. As promised Dr. Johnston followed up with me several times after my procedure to check and make sure that I was doing well. I appreciated that he took time out of his busy day to check in on me.
I was diagnosed with stage 1 low risk prostate cancer 3 years ago when I was 72 years old. Before I had my first visit with Dr. Johnston, I decided I wanted surgery to remove my prostate. Dr. Johnston was great throughout the entire process of my prostate removal, from pre-surgery planning and preparation through the post-surgery personal calls and follow-up. If you need to have yours removed, I highly recommend Dr. Johnston!
Dr. Johnston and crew removed my prostate in February 2022. My numbers and exams indicated this was necessary. After surgery I wore pads (diapers if forced to sit or drive for stretches of over 1 hour). After six weeks I have not used pads or diapers. I am active and outdoors most days and I don’t see any difference in urgency, stream or frequency than before the procedure other than to give a little more push to completely empty. Dr. Johnston performed my vasectomy. He made sure I felt no pain during the procedure and it was over in less than 20 minutes.
I suffered from a recurring fungal infection for almost a year before coming to Dr. Johnston.
