Great doctor and is down to earth, normal!
I trust Dr Sanko to diagnose and treat my joints. However, he and his staff are so busy that no one told me when they were finished or if there was any home treatment or if I needed to follow up with Dr Sanko. I was just left sitting in the exam room.
5 Surgeries and doing better than expected. Two hips and a knee replacement and tendon repair on the other knee. Torn meniscus repair also. Started seeing him in early 2000. He has always been understanding and kind. He is a very busy dr but I felt he took adequate time with me. His PA saw me a lot for after care but I knew if I wanted to talk to him he was available. He has always taken time to explain things although he talks really fast (part of his character). I highly recommend him.

I've been a patient of Dr. Sanko since 1997 when I tore my ACL in my left knee. In 1998, I tore my ACL and a few other ligaments in my right knee, which he also repaired. 1 month ago, I tore my ACL, medial & lateral meniscus and chipped a bone in my left knee. I'm 1 week post surgery and doing great. Love OIO staff and I'm thankful he's such a great doctor and was able to take care of me.

I saw Dr. Sanko for an Ankle Avulsion Fracture after wearing an Ankle brace for less than 4 weeks. I told him the pain was not any better since my original visit to OIO. He told me there was nothing he could do and stated, "I'm sorry you came all the way out here.". When I walked out of the exam room, he told the nurse at the desk that I was doing better and then spoke into a recorder my info and repeated that I was "doing better". I never said I was "doing better"...I hurt!
Did not listen to what i had to say about my injury. Told me to ignore the pain i was having and deal with it. I will never go back there or recomend him to anyone.
Fixated on irrelevant facts because they would lead to an easier outcome. Provided no meaningful treatment or guidance. After 4 visits and months of pain and inability to use knee, go until it hurts or let's try some therapy no longer constitute medical care. Absolutely horrible.
