Have been a Advada/Hearing Life customer for 7 yrs--everything prior to the last month, for the most part, went fairly well. I was due for an upgrade in hearing aides after 3 yrs--I had my annual hearing test & he Audiologist then programmed new demo ones to my specifications--they were quite a bit better than the 3 yr old model I had prior--was told I had to sign a release before my "buy" date of 9/20/21---never rec'd any paperwork--Called receptionist & asked where my paperwork was?--told that I couldn't get hearing aides ... read more
This company is as crooked as they come. DO NOT USE They take your money file for insurance and then keep both. They do not support the products they sell and they have closed an office in Bluffton and offer no support. The corporate office does not answer the phone and they have no customer service. STAY AWAY.
Took my hearing aid (Oticom) in for repair on June 17 2021. Never saw an audiologist, receptionist took my hearing aid after I explained my issue. I was told they would have to ship my hearing aid to the manufacture (Oticom) and it would take a week for repair. After two weeks I called and left a voice message requesting a call back. Never got a return call, I continued to call and after four weeks I got a call telling me the repair was completed and I could pick up my hearing aid. The next day the same issue started! purchased my hearing aids when they were ********* now HearingLife. Went bacj 1 year later, did a hearing test and my gosh my hearing got worse. He suggested I upgrade to a better hearing aid. I spent $5000 how much better can they get. I truly believe it is the same hearing aid whether you choose the $1000 or the $5000.2nd visit he wanted me to have another hearing test, I explained not interested, I am sure the outcome will be more hearing loss. switched hearing aid while a visit for cleaning/working order...put a larger h/a in ear while wired to pc...volume very high...fit hurts my ear...i heard her say..this is bigger and won't fall out of your ear.....i got in contact with her, and she said she would call me...call never came...no response from her...i called her and she insisted the h/a was the one i came in with....would not make a change hung up on me. **** been wearing the h/a for 4 months..cleaned it..changed battery..handled it...i know what i had...the one... read more
I had a hearing checkup and cleaning of my hearing aids by the Audiologist at HearingLife. When I came in, I had NO problems at all with my hearing aids. When I left, my right hearing aid DID NOT work. When I put them in my ear after she cleaned them, I mentioned to her that the right hearing aid did not work. Sayville Hearing Services apparently is now an office of HearingLife. I made an appointment with the Sayville office for a hearing test with a hearing aid that I recently got elsewhere. When I arrived I was told no appointment was listed although I was in the computer. They said they would go ahead anyway. Terrance was terribly unprofessional with my father. He might as well be working in a car dealership. Nothing felt medical. It was all about sales for him. Very disappointed and will not go back to another hearing life.
