Lovely area.
Gatehouse is mooi, daar achter de restanten van de voormalige abdij.
Just been to the new cafe in the main Abbey building, next to the chapel. Small menu, but everything is freshly made & looked delicious. I had a very generous sausage sandwich (farnworths) which came on a light focaccia bun, which was excellent. They serve Exchange coffee too! Finished off with homemade lemon drizzle cake. See you again very soon & thank you.
Really interesting, lots of history around, definitely worth a visit to the remains of the Abbey
Park outside the modern martyrs church and walk back to get the best photos.
