As a veteran I receive all my medical needs at the Indianapolis VA Hospital. When my knee replacement had to be replaced however and no longer had a qualified surgeon on staff they referred me to Dr. Wesley Lackey and I thank God they did! My surgery was yesterday.?? I went with my mom to her appointment for a second knee replacement. She said she would never go to anyone else. His kindness, genuine interest in her life and his ability to remember her from 5 years ago was amazing. Truly an amazing doctor.
Dr. Lackey gave me my life back!! At age 52 I couldn’t walk very far without stopping my pain was horrible. I had been bone on bone with both knees for way to long. Other Drs said I was to young for replacement and continued to give me shots. Dr. Lackey took one look at my X-rays, patted my shoulder , and got the surgery appointment book! I have never had a doctor who was more focused on me as a person. The level of care I received from his whole team was beyond any experience I’ve had to date. His expertise, knowledge, and ability shows clearly, and while it’s unfortunate that I needed the surgery, I had a positive experience and outcome. He really prepares you for the entire process-which you won’t appreciate until it’s over. He is an outstanding doctor, I highly recommend him.

Dr. Lackey is awesome. He listens to his patients and genuinely cares about his patients. I have no doubt I'll receive the best of care from him. Also, his bedside manner is great!
I am very satisfied with my right hip replacement by Dr. Lackey. I had my surgery 7 weeks before going on a Mediterranean cruise, which entailed a lot of walking up steps at inclines on tours. My hip was great-I did do physical therapy, but so glad I had the surgery done. He did a great job. Was able to have it done anteriorly, which did not cut muscles. Highly recommend him & St. Francis--Moorsville Hospital.
