I am new in this area and was searching for an orthopedic doctor, specializing in hip replacement. The pain in my right hip is extreme and so after the x-rays were taken and when consulting with Dr. Brooks, we determined that he did not perform 'anterior' hip replacements, only posterior. He recommended another surgeon, whom I consulted with and would have had him perform the anterior surgery as soon as his schedule permitted. The problem is, Dr. Brooks administered a cortisone injection to relieve some pain (didn't work), BU... read more
I did a lot of research before choosing a doctor and very glad I decided on Dr Brooks. He replaced my hip and my knee and I am extremely pleased with the results. I wish I hadn't waited so long to get these done - it would have saved me 8 years of pain and discomfort. Knowledgeable, pleasant and engaging, Dr Brooks (and his staff) exceeded my expectation. Shout out to the surgical center at Pardee as well - both surgeries were positive experiences for me.
I have been working with Dr. Brooks for well over a decade, resolving infrastructure issues in this 75-year-old body. I have always appreciated the fact that Dr. Brooks has an undergraduate degree from MIT, and what is modern orthopedic surgery other than re-engineering our scaffolding? He’s performed 4 rotary cuff repairs, all of which were a pain & all of which I managed to tear again. Then last year, after he advised I had no more cartilage remaining in either shoulder, cortisone shots ultimately became ineffective, and I... read more
Personable, straightforward, easy to understand, with a wealth of experience. I am very comfortable with his treatment advice and expertise. Glad I found him.
Dr. Brooks always greets me with a smile and a handshake. He can spot arthritis immediately, and is clearly knowledgeable in his field. A light touch with shots and a skilled surgeon.
Dr. Brooks gave me relief from my knee pain with a cortisone injection. He was very caring and explained the process. Even though it may be temporary I was pleased, because he did not rush me to have surgery and so far it’s working great! Thanks Dr. Brooks!!
Dr. Brooks is fantastic. He listens to you and does what is in your best interest. If I ever need additional knee surgery (which I hope not) he would definitely be my choice.
Over the years I have found Dr. Brooks to be extremely honest, forthcoming, genuinely concerned, and a very capable surgeon. He took care of my son during his early athletic years and now he is keeping me active. I am fortunate to have met him.
I have been a patient of Dr Brooks for 6 months in which he has performed 2 rotator cuff surgeries on me. One was performed in August 2023 and the Second in January 2024. I have nothing to compare his work on me with anything else I’ve been through, however, my physical therapists have raved at what a fine surgeon Dr Brooks is and it shows with how I have responded with my physical therapy. With the injuries I had , the therapists have said I am well ahead of the normal timetable for such procedures. They directly attribute ... read more
