I’ve been seeing Dr. Brooks for 25 or so years and have never been disappointed with his care, his willingness to listen (and respond) to my concerns, or disappointed with other specialists he referred me to in his practice when necessary.
Dr. Brooks made sure that my tkr is not loose by an xray. He also explained about typical pain. He suggested what not to do (deep squats).
Dr. Brooks makes the time to effectively explain procedures and answer my questions. I truly believe he has my best interest in mind. He was recommended to me by a close friend and I hope I have the chance to lead others to him.
The way I was treated and the work that was done on my knee the best
The surgery took place on Valentine's Day (2025) at Pardee Hospital, this was my fourth surgery, two on the left shoulder and two on the right shoulder, three were done at the Asheville NC VA Hospital and the fourth one was done by Dr Brooks , let me tell you, he and his team were amazing, ! Unlike what I experienced with the VA surgeons,.I did agree to a nerve block and 24 hours later it wore off, only took 2 pain pills and as of today ( over a week) I have not been in pain , unlike the VA , I was in pain for a long time!I ... read more
Very polite staff and Dr brooks has excellent bedside manner. He is very to the point and gives you the facts which I love.
I went to him for first time for my shoulder, at recommendation of several friends who have seen him & gave rave reviews! I didn't have to wait for my scheduled appointment & he was most warm, gentle, concerned manner that relaxed you immediately. He took his time did not rush at all & explained things carefully & clearly with lots of details. Also took time to answer my questions. My wife fell and shattered her shoulder and humerus. So shattered doctors weren't sure what to do with it. Dr. Brooks charged forward and did a reverse shoulder replacement even with the shattered humerus, that worked out great and allowed her use of her arm, with a pretty decent range of motion. We are grateful.
Dr. Brooks Helped me understand the severity of my condition and put forth a plan for repair. It has been a great experience working with Dr. Brooks.
