I had an MRI for breast cancer at WCDC this week and it was my first experience of the site. I was very impressed by both the facilities and the staff. Everything was clean & bright, easy to find and to use. The staff were kind, patient and fantastically helpful during a very awkward & uncomfortable procedure. They did everything they could to make the experience better for me. Extremely Disappointed – Unprofessional and Distressing Experience I attended this facility for an MRI scan and was appalled by the way I was treated, especially in front of my 12-year-old daughter. From the moment we arrived, we were met by a rude member of staff who immediately questioned why I had brought my daughter along. I explained that the appointment was arranged last-minute over the phone and that no one had informed me of any policy prohibiting children. No written confirmation or guidelines were provided. Being given a Saturday appointment was great given I work full time in education so can’t just take a day off. Tricky to get to for me. Quite a freak from the nearest tube. I live near Guildford but my consultant at Hammersmith hospital usually gets mine done there, this was a lot further. Once there all the receptionist and lady fitting my cannula were lovely. Unfortunately I found the technician to be unsympathetic and unprofessional before going in he asked that I wait as he had set the infusion to the next woman’s dose, ... read more
