Dr Wellman only has phone call appointments. She only listens to her messages after 5pm and returns calls after 7pm. When she returned the call I placed less than 24hrs after a phone appointment, she was unable to help me without scheduling another appointment 20days out. Her reason was she "didn't have my chart" and recalled I'd said I was fine. Which I hadn't. I don't recommend her.
I have been working with Dr. Wellman for nearly 5 years. She is the first psychatrist that has actually listened to me prior to just perscribing medications and giving a diagnosis. I feel like she genuienly cares about me as a person.
I think Dr. Wellman is great personally. As a therapist, perhaps not, but she is a psychiatrist. And one that I believe has very good pharmacological knowledge.
Horrible . Never warned me of the side effects of the sleeping medication I was on nor did she tell me when to stop. I had to call and try and make an appointment the time didn’t work for her she snapped at me. Instantly found a different dr and got off those sleep meds . DO NOT GO TO HER
