Dr. Wellman is terrific. She listens deeply, makes changes to my meds as life changes, and answers all my questions.
Dr Wellman only has phone call appointments. She only listens to her messages after 5pm and returns calls after 7pm. When she returned the call I placed less than 24hrs after a phone appointment, she was unable to help me without scheduling another appointment 20days out. Her reason was she "didn't have my chart" and recalled I'd said I was fine. Which I hadn't. I don't recommend her.
I have been working with Dr. Wellman for nearly 5 years. She is the first psychatrist that has actually listened to me prior to just perscribing medications and giving a diagnosis. I feel like she genuienly cares about me as a person.
I think Dr. Wellman is great personally. As a therapist, perhaps not, but she is a psychiatrist. And one that I believe has very good pharmacological knowledge.
