this place killed my grandmother she had hip surgery and was recovering there it was going ok then someone left her in the bathroom she had Alzheimer too so cant remember 5 min ago she was there on the toliet for 10 minutes and forgot about her hip and tried to get up and fell they waited 15 minutes to call an ambulance she died 2 days later DONT SEND A LOVED ONE THERE
Rose, I wish I had met you. The exact same thing happened to my sister. She hadn't been there 5 days and I went there and found her slumped over practically unresponsive in the dining room with food all over herself and clothes. I took her to her room where I met a nurse outside her room and told her something isn't right about my sister, I've never seen her this way and she is prone to Peumonia and UTI,s. Wedgewood killed my father in law. He was urinating blood and they did nothing about it. We even went to them and told them. When he got admitted on a Friday after 5pm we seen no one. They brought us no paperwork about his clothes and possessions. I did know to put his name in his clothes. These people are awful. If you try to get someone to help you they ignore you. This place is absolutely horrible, my grandmother had a hip replacement surgery and is in, a lot of pain. They did not have or give her any of the medicine she should be taking, she is also a diabetic and she has had heart surgery with Stent s in her heart. Apparently every patient there is suppose to have a doctor they meet within the first to second day, my grandma did not meet with her doctor until over a week later. yup, i totally agreed with what is said about wedge wood. some CNA there with the name of Natalie should totally change career to be kind. if Natalie does not want to do what she is being paid for to do at the facility she should choose other profession and not inflicts anymore unnecessary suffering toward those she suppose to care for. this comment does not reflect the facility staff as a whole. there are still some very passionate members present. their human resource should be more selective in who they are hiring. the re... read more
Careful what they promise. – The facility is only concerned with making money. The new administrator is a total Jerk! He has absolutely no compassion towards his residents and has been heard screaming at employees and families. There should be no place in healthcare for someone who isn't there to help. If you want to run it like a business learn the concept of customer service!
Don't listen to unfair review - make up your own mind – If you are looking for a rehab center or nursing home, take a tour and look at the place for yourself. We have been very happy here, and have also witnessed some families have a hissy fit over what they thought was unfair treatment which was really more their guilt and fear over their loved ones being sick. WORST NURSING FACILITY EVER!!!!!! – Wedgewood is by far the worst nursing facility I have ever dealt with. Disregard the one star as a rating of some sort is required on this site. You can't contact your family member cause they have no phones in their room. You can't get to talk to a nurse because they put you on hold and then hang up. They have doctors on staff who change the admitting doctors orders. Patients who are immobile do not get turned every 2 hours which is necessary so they do not develop bedsores. best place to work – I just found this web site I dont believe that NO ONE would leave someone that just had heart surg. alone to have a shower, sometimes family feels guilty for their love ones in a nursing home/rehab center to began with. Our jobs as cna are very hard and at times its not the resident that is giving us the hard time but the family members because they feel guilty.
