Very disappointing customer service at the Uxbridge branch today. I visited to exchange a duplicate book that was in the exact same condition as when I bought it, yet staff member Adora made no real effort to help. She immediately refused an exchange because I didn’t have a physical receipt, she didn’t even ask if I paid by card or cash. She also falsely claimed the book was in an "unsellable condition," which is ironic given that several books on display in their store have minor scuffs. So glad Waterstones is back after so many years. I missed it a lot. The employees are so nice and helpful. The place is nice and full of books at each corner.
Definitely one of my favourite shops :)
