I have been going to the Puyallup fair for 47 years. It has become so expensive and has changed since it became a state fair.If my job did not make it affordable to go I would not be able to in good conscience go .Im sure attendance will wane unless something changes .
Everything fair related now a days is so overpriced & long lines for everything. Spending $50 dollars for 5 rides for 2 people isn't worth it. The fair didn't offer the dizzypass to the kids free weekend, makes no sense to make it affordable to parents. I've been going to the Puyallup fair since I was little over 3 decades ago.
Best Fair ever! There's so much to look at, and eat. We were there about 10 hours, and I think we still missed looking at some things, and we didn't even go on any rides. :) It would be pretty expensive if you had a couple children with you though. Cause I'm sure they would want to go on the rides as well as eating.
So much fun, going on a weekday is better so you can get a Dizzy bracelet and let your kids go on a ton of rides for much cheaper.
Expensive, but I think it was worth it overall. Everyone we came across were super nice too!
There has been really nothing new here worth speaking of, for so long, (and I'm um, over 50) that I only go for a good concert. So, if it's not the same old thing you are looking for, cows, pigs, chickens, more farm animals and things. Oh there's your scones, elephant ears, corn on the cob and a thrill "ride" or two, the arcade, and the every growing areas they squeeze ..er...objects made to steal money from people suffering from overexposure still and the Grandstand with worldly marvels throughout the entire fair. BUT the l... read more
Had a great time! Ended up lucking out with an awesome parking spot in the Red lot, lucky even by handicapped parking standards. I went with my best friend, which is and of itself is always awesome, but... we sampled the finest fudge, devoured the best Darigold ice cream, and I was even snoot-rubbed and nibbled by the most adorable piglets. My only regret is that my feet are angry at me after walking so much yesterday! But I can't wait to go again next year. :)
What an HUGE disappointment. I have been going to the fair the last 30 years and each year I've walked away thinking it's just not what it use to be. This year proved even worse. The prices are outrageous. It was Puyallup's fair day and nothing was in the dairy barn, the new AG Plex was closed, Darigold had a pitiful table to give away milk samples with the most pathetic, unfriendly girls giving samples who would not even acknowledge children standing politely in line which was so disheartening to my children. The midway was... read more
