They sold my son a 50$ packet of tickets for rides one hour before the concert we went to knowing that it was their last night open and the rides close before the concerts over. A waste of money for a young couple!!! Disappointed
Expensive! We spent $50 before we even got in the gate, then more money for food, drinks, games, and rides. You can't get out of there without spending at least $100/person! No wonder most families can't afford this event
Same stuff, different year, more expensive and the food was crap. Also they changed the elephant ears and they were disgusting. We had, corndogs, fennel cakes etc and it all was either stale or soggy. And come on food vendors...PRICES WAY TOO HIGH. PRICE GOUGING.
I've been going for about 50 years!! its so fun to go, I don't think I would ever miss a year!! My husband and I spent $140 on food alone. BBQ Petes chicken dinner, elephant ears, corn on the cob, strawberry shortcake, strawberry waffles, caramel apples, and roast peanuts, and last but not least Kettle corn and scones!! 6,000 calories later., We saw Train!!! for the second time!! What a fabulous show!! Sad that everything was closing right after the concert. Only place open, thank God was the scone place!! For me it's nostal... read more
First time visitor. Kind of pricey but a fun filled day.
I don't think it's nessary to have bars in the fair, especially so many of them ... There was one right next to the 4-H barns Other than that it was pretty great .
Snake oil salesmen, religious freaks; ancient, marginally safe rides, awesome fried foods of every description; my kid jumping up and down going "Dad, Dad, Dad, Dad, Dad, can we go see the dinosaurs now?!?" while I'm trying to eat the whole macho nacho plate pretty much at once.. Summertime harvest perfection.
I bought the bundle sold by Fred Meyer before the fair started. For $36 I got 2 admissions, 2 half price weekday parking coupons, a coupon for 6 rides, $10 in "food bucks" and something for the rodeo. Well worth the cost although I didn't get there until the last day. Some of the food definitely over-priced. Stopped at one food stand on the way to the gate to leave (3 pm) and the fries my grandson got were cold. He does not really do rides so we only went on one and I gave the remaining rides to someone standing in line to g... read more
