Good Hamburger, Unusual Atmosphere – Enjoyed their hamburger but I made the mistake of bringing children and an adult who was somewhat offended by the decor. I can see how people like it and will go again. I could do without some of the decor but guess it makes the place.
Best there is – Long time favorite.....places come and go but the Vortex maintains its rightful atop burger joints.... big, juicy, mouth-watering, char-grilled patty of the best burger you ever ate.
I've been sucked into the Vortex!!!! – I just wanted to say that the food was excellent, and that one hot punk chick with pink hair...that works at the Vortex....I really like you!!!
so good! – A really really good burger and the fries are way yummy! Great place to hang out and get a beer...
For the meat loving vegan... – ...this is absolutely the best place to go. Whether you are a "Beef: it's whats for dinner" person or have sworn off meat forever this is the place to go and have the burger you have been missing. The choices are incredible, from sirlion to black bean burgers, and from chicken to turkey you can have it all without worrying about whatever dietary preference your friends may have. the vortex is the biker's answer to TGI Fridays....with all the "scary flair" all over the walls and the huge skeleton entryway. the food is sooo good! there is more selection and accomodates vegatarians moreso than the average burger joint. their tater tots, fried zucchini, southwestern eggrolls, chicken fingers, etc are delicious. nice large beer selection too. the service is always pretty slow, and the guy at the door is really rude - but food and location more than make up for it.
