Had them out on a Sunday last year, let them know on the phone I had a mini split that wasn't working. The tech showed up, dopped over a pound of freon in the system before he realized it wasn't holding. He then made a call and informed me he wasn't supposed to work on minisplits, lacking certification or somesuch. My total bill: 400 dollars, plus the still non working ac unit. Would I recommend? Hell no!
You hire employees like Jonathan Meyers who trash small family businesses. He’s been trashing Elders Antiques for wanting to open for business. Wow, what service. I called about out lack of heat at 1:20 today and the technician was at my home within an hour. Great guy, problem fixed, and heat by 3:30. Things never happen this fast in my world. What a pleasant surprise!
I’m afraid this company took advantage of me today as a new homeowner. I had them out for regular maintenance a month ago and this weekend my furnace stopped working. I identified that the gas valve needed replaced and called them to do the work. They spent 1 hour doing the repair and charged me $630. After they left I researched the part that was replaced and it retails for $120. Its companies and practices like this that give the service industry a bad name. I won’t be using Vogel again.
Furnace pilot light would intermittently have issues firing and lighting. Since the issue was intermittent tech was unable to diagnose. As soon as the issue became permanent I called again and was told even if they came out to service it they would be unable to get parts until 3 days later. The next day I had it serviced and fixed by another company. Very disappointed that I was charged by Vogel while nothing was fixed, and when the issue was permanent they did not have the capability to fix it in a timely manor.
We feel we always get an honest answer from Joe!

I have been using Vogel exclusively for over 20 years. Bill Vogel came to my rescue after another contractor installed my new AC incorrectly years ago. Since then, Vogel has serviced our AC and furnace every season. They will be installing new units for us next week. I wouldn't trust anyone else!
